Its our family’s first trip to TOTT at Sime Darby Centre. TOTT aka Tools of
The Trade, is a mega store for all your kitchen needs. Anything imaginable
for cooking or baking is all there except a naked chef!
As its the school holiday now in Singapore. Every parent will be thinking of
what activities to whip up for their children. Audrey, my wife wanted our
daughter Summer, to experience TOTT’s baking class. Its call Bake and Go.
We were greeted by the friendly staff, Siritorn. She explained to us the whole process.
Summer was given 2 baking options. Cupcakes or cookies. Summer wanted cookies!
Next was to choose the favors; Chocolate, Strawberries or Vanilla. Summer
And here begins our chocolate adventure at TOTT’s Bake and Go kitchen. Siritorn
gave Summer her apron, premix chocolate dough and a bowl. She excitedly starts to
soften the chocolate dough it with her little hands. Next she was given a few stars,
flower and heart shape moulds to make the shape of the cookies. I guess this was
the happiest part her; she get to see her cookies being moulded out and place on the
baking mat. We also added extra chocolate bits on the cookies to complete the
chocolate overload experience!
Siritorn help as place the tray of cookies in the oven. 14 minutes for baking and 10
more minutes to let the cookies to cool down. That gave us 25 minutes and we
process to the Bistro for quick lunch. This bistro serve quite a good variety of local
fare. I had Nasi Goreng that comes with 2 yummy satays, 2 crispy fried chicken and
the Nasi Goreng comes with generous servings of prawn in it. The other highlight of
this dining experience; the indoor playground which is situated by my dining table.
That gives me some peace to enjoy my yummy lunch while Summer is having some
fun at the playground with the other children.
After lunch we proceed back to the baking kitchen. The lovely aroma of chocolate
greeted us. Siritorn have already pack the cookies into a metal tin. In a flash Summer
opens the tin and started munching the cookie. I must say its really delicious.
Finally this whole baking experience cost us $14.50 . I really ToTT its money and time
well spent. We will certainly go back again.
