It’s the annual ’s Fujifilm photowalk! And this year our meeting
point is at Harbor Front MRT. After registration and a short briefing
by Favian from Fujifilm Singapore; we are all ready to rock
and roll. Together with mine five other fellow X-photographers;
Mindy, Charlene, Benny, Ron and Jose; we are ready to conquer
the beautiful Southern Ridges.

Each X-photographer will lead a group of photographers in his or her
team. Our first uphill task this morning is up Mouth Faber.  It’s indeed
a lovely hike up this little 344′ feet hill. Once we reach the top which
is also house the Singapore Cable Car. From here one could take a
cable to Sentosa and enjoy the breathtaking view.  Which we didn’t
because our end point is toward Gillman Barrack.

Our next pit stop is the Henderson Waves Bridge. At 36 metres above
ground, the Henderson Waves bridge is the highest pedestrian bridge
in Singapore. It’s more than just a bridge. There are many recesses and
sitting area for many to relax and enjoy another panoramic view of
southern coast of Singapore.

After Henderson Waves Bridge it’s kind of downhill via Telok Blangah Hill
park. I actually love this area. We have to walk via many metal bridges
through the lush tropical forest.

Our end point is at Gillman Barrack; which is a contemporary art district.
As the name suggest; Gillman Barrack was home to former British army.
The lunch venue is at Mason. A monochromatic restaurant that takes its
design cue from the colonial heritage.

Just before the buffet lunch each X-photographer took turns to share
some of the photos taken from the photowalks. It’s indeed a great time
where fellow photographer meet and share with one another the
love for photography.
